In this Git Advanced workshop you will learn about the power of modern versioning tools and how they enable teams to cooperate in small to large code bases. In this course we will cover repository locality, repo branches, what a ‘merge conflict’ is, how and why they arise, and how to effectively resolve them – alone or as a team.
This course will be hands-on; your terminal, vim or any modern IDE will do to participate.
Target group:
The workshop is aimed at volunteers who support non-profit organizations in our data projects or are interested in doing so. However, feel free to join if you’re interested in Git in general.
